We saw the Beatles and their Magical Mystery Tour Bus passing through Dawlish, Devon on their way to Plymouth back in 1967. It was a very special Psychedelic Experience. The Coach was blaring out Magic Mystery Tour as it passed through.😊👍

All the songwriters out there take note that even those we regard as the masters also struggled with their work at times.

The songs lyrics don’t even rhyme and maybe it helps this to be the masterpiece that it is.

Most of us try to come up with a great riff or piano progression, and then shoehorn a melody over it. The greats seem to develop melody and progression simultaneously. The greatest songs sometimes don't make much sense as individual pieces, but the sum is astonishing, and not-so-great songs can be more impressive in their pieces, but don't work as well together.

John would say in later interviews that if he had the power he would have changed EVERY Beatles song they ever did including FIELDS and George Martin was really surprised he always thought that was his best work
